Dear Friends,
With all of the high temperatures we've been experiencing this summer, it's hard to believe that it is time to start planning for the 2010-2011 heating season. This past season, the Price Protection worked well at providing stability and preventing our customers from paying more than the cap price of $2.59 while others were exposed to higher prices.
This year we see that the oil markets are extremely volatile. We have noticed that in the past couple of years, the price of oil is less dependent on supply and demand, but rather is more concerned with the direction of the stock market and the level of consumer confidence. With all the uncertainty, Price Protection for the coming winter could prove to be very important.
As was the case last year and in years past, this winter's Price Protection Program will provide protection from rising oil prices. Although the Program may be slower to react to falling prices, the price will never go above the maximum price of the Program.
As offered last year, we ask that our customers select one of our three payment options:
1) Equal Payment Budget Plan
2) Auto charge on credit card, or
3) Prompt Payment within ten days of delivery.
We will be unable to extend credit beyond any outstanding oil delivery balance. Any outstanding oil balance must be paid before your next delivery.
This year's program will be administered the same as years past. The maximum price you will pay for fuel oil during the coming year's heating season will be $2.89 a gallon. If our retail price is lower than the maximum price, you will automatically be billed at the lower price. The price may be slower to decrease but will never go above the cap price. The down payment will remain at 10%, and again the down payment will be credited to your account and applied to the first oil delivery after September 15, 2010. Finally, the Price Protection Program will be in effect from September 15, 2010 through April 30, 2011.
To sign up for the Price Protection Program, please complete the enclosed contract, and return it with your down payment by September 1, 2010. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call our office at (978) 562-3477.
Sincerely,
